A large variety of RVs are available for travelers who want to ride the roads of the nation with all of the creature comforts of home. Of all RV types, the top dog is the Class A motorhome. This vehicle sits atop custom undercarriages or a large truck chassis. They have many amenities, usually including cooking facilities, heating, air-conditioning and a self-contained toilet. They typically have separate electrical system and can sleep up to eight people depending on the design.

Class B RVs are smaller motorhomes that sit on a van chassis and are usually about 16 to 18 feet long. These types of motorhomes usually sleep about two to four people. Some RVs are not self-contained and hitch to a truck or other tow vehicle. These travel trailers come in a wide variety of sizes and styles.
